Shearer- The Legend

Alen Shearer was born on 13 August 1970 in Gosforth,is a retired english professional footballer who played for Southampton, Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle United as a striker.He enjoyed his successful club and international carrer during which he scored 422 goals .At the age of 17 years and 240 days he scored hat-trick againest Arsenal on 9 April 1988 and become the youngest player to score hat-trick in premiership. He started his carrer from Southempton (1988-1992 )then he moved to Blackburn Rovers in £3.3 million.His first season with Blackburn was mixed where he missed half season due to injury (right anterior cruciate ligament) but was regular face in english squad . After returning from injury he scored 31 goals in 40 league game and finished second in premiership behind Manchester United, but they won premiership next season , this was the only honour in his carrer.He quickly followed it up with a personal award winning the PFA Players' Player of the Year.
He captained his country 34 times and managed to go to only semifinal of euro 92.In euro 96 he scored 5 goals and was golden boot winner.In 1995-96 season he scored 31 goals, managed by Kevin Keegan,who was keen to get service of Alen and finally Alen Shearer moved to Newcastle United in £15 million making Shearer the world's most expensive footballer at the time.In Newcastle United he stayed for ten years and scored 206 league goal, in premiership he scored 260 goals "a league record".Shearer announced that he would retire at the end of the 2004-05 season, but influenced by Newcastle manager Graeme Souness, he decided to continue playing but three games remaining Alen Shearer suffered a tear to the medial collateral ligament in his left knee after a collision during the 4-1 win at Sunderland, that was his last game of his carrer.
From his 63 caps, he scored thirty goals, joint-fifth in the England all-time goalscorer.Shearer was named as: Overall Player of the Decade, Domestic Player of the Decade, Outstanding Contribution to the Premier League and Top Goalscorer.He spent 2006 summer as a pundits for world cup,he is now trying to get UEFA Pro License to coach in EPL.
